This is quite upsetting. Without any notice you modified our Inboxes (Conversations). It happened 20-30 minutes ago. I got bombarded with complaints (4 departments, 40 agents total). Having a modal window for replies is essential for comfortably composing/editing emails and adding/removing recipients. Replying from that small box at the bottom of a conversation, let alone editing anything there, is ultra clumsy and problematic. Not to mention that it takes away the appealing UX/UI you had.
Please roll back the changes, the modal window for replies is a must.
