Restrict selection for HubSpot user property fields
When using HubSpot user property fields, all HubSpot users are always available for selection. It would be very helpful to restrict the selection by team, for example.
I came here to post the exact same idea. To expand on @MartinLeibi post:
Currently we can create custom properties with the "HubSpot User" as a propery type. However, these by default show every user in the portal, including for example external users like us HubSpot partners. Clients would love to be able to create a custom user property - but limit this to specific users, or even better, specific teams.
For example a client would like to have a custom user property on the company level as follows: - Business Development Rep - Customer Success Owner etc.
Of course we can create a custom drop down property - but this would need to be maintained if there are joiners or leavers - and because it is not a "HubSpot User" property you have limited actions in workflows, reporting, routing etc.
Instead - imagine creating a HubSpot User Property but limit the options to a specific team. When people are added or removed from the team the user property updates automatically.
Also - imagine being able to do the same with the existing Contact Owner, Company Owner, Deal Owner, Ticket Owner etc properties. Currently each of these default properties show everyone that is a user. In large organisations this is not ideal - especially if you have external contractors etc as users.
I came here looking for the exact same feature... would be great for larger organizations who need to validate users assigned to accounts while retaining the flexibility in workflows of HubSpot user fields
