as a developer I'm always thinking about making the life of our customers/users and our inhouse "content-creators" as easy as possible with modules that are very easy to use and follow style guidelines which our customer provides us.
The biggest problem is that the user often inserts the content from MS Word, Google Docs or similar without cleaning the unnecessary formatting. It would be a real help the developer could limit the functionality of the rich-text function in custom modules. For example, you shouldn't be able to insert headlines, change the font size and -color. Just write the text with paragraphs and insert links.
