It would be a great function if it were possible to reset the lead score of a contact person to 0. This way, after e.g. a sales offer, it can be resetted to 0, and start recounting. This will benefit both the sales and marketing team of companies.
- Lead achieves Hubspot score of 100, that triggers our Salesforce automation to convert the lead to an MQL and notify the sales team
- If the sales team Disqualifies the lead, they mark it as disqualified in Salesforce, which changes their Lead Status in Hubspot
- We'd like their score to reset to avoid a situation where they might quickly reach 100 again and therefore re-trigger the MQL automation in Salesforce
@KPawlewicz Does it not work for you to set a property with -100 points when the lead status is changed to Disqualified? --> Then they should be zero again, right?
Is there a HS rep here who might be able to update us on the status of this one? The live chat directed me here to share my feedback but it looks like the request has been in the parking lot for a while now.
The reason I would like this is because our company had used negative scoring in the past for lead decay and it took their HS scores deep into the negative. When they did reengage they needs double or triple the scoring to get them back into qualification, meaning we missed a lot of leads in our reporting.
We really need this. We would like to be able to reset the score based on a custom time frame, weekly, monthly, etc. And to be able to set the time criteria by score would be fantastic.
In accordance with this request, for some businesses (mine), it is necessary to be able to reset the Hubspot score. The objective is to identify new activities on a client in order to rework it without relying on an existing score.
Can we have an update on this ? Lead score without the ability to reset it is useless. I will need to create a totally independant lead score from the native one if this can't be provided which will be a pain for sure
Is there an update on this request ? The upvotes seem significant.
This seems like a simple feature that should be added for multiple marketing needs. Resetting lead scoring is available in other products (marketo, etc.).
The use cases are many and fairly obvious with the main one being able to hard reset the qualification to 0 for re-nurture and re-promotion from Lead to MQL again when indicated by sales teams (i.e. they have reached out and qualified the lead at a point in time and they are not ready to enage). Reducing scoring is not necessarily the answer for this need in every case.
I agree! This would be super helpful in resetting unengaged leads or customers behavior scores. It is hard to properly build the negative values in the hubspot score without going negative. Inactivity is hard to score in the negatives. It seems like it should be a 0 instead
I'm Dom, a Product Manager at HubSpot. My team and I are currently delving into Lead Scoring for Marketers and are really interested in learning more about your use cases -- we’d like to find out how you are currently scoring your leads, what’s working for you and what’s not working at the moment and what features you would like to see incorporated into HubSpot in the future.
If you’re a marketer interested in lead scoring and open to a brief 30-minute call with me and my team, please feel free to reach out to me via a direct message.
The lead scoring in HubSpot is so basic and lacks good functionality. I need the ability to score leads in a tiered approach based on fit and engagement (i.e. better fit leads require less engagement to qualify). I was able to easily build this in Marketo previously using an Alpha-Numerical scoring grid where A,B,C,D scores are based on person/company fit and 1,2,3,4 scores are based on engagement. Then the scores were combined to create a score (e.g. "A3"). It was then so easy to adjust who qualified by telling the system which "scores" qualified, and adjusting qualifying scores was also very easy, just add or eliminate the alpha-numerical scores you did or did not want to include.
The other thing that HubSpot doesn't allow for is socre deprecation or reset. Scores need to lose value over time if no action is taken, or be reset to "0" if marked "Nurture" for example; resetting their ability to move back to a qualified status with additional engagement.
Lastly, we manage multiple brands and our scoring is slightly different. I have no way of scoring leads differently or creating custom scenerios based on the source of the lead.
DomRychlik Any updates to share here? I'm also available to answer any questions if you need inputs to be able to move forward with releasing some of the critical updates to leadscoring shared here. Thanks
