It would be good to be able to set required deal stages for a pipeline. For example; a pipeline for 'New business' (prosects that are not yet customers), it would be good to force the sales team to add a deal at the first stage then have to progress it through every stage until won/lost. Then every deal will show in the deal stage funnel report and allow us to measure sales performance.

This is a must have feature! Currently using a different tech stack on top of hubspot just to calculate simple deal stage conversion metrics like this....
@hubspot...what's the status of this? It should not take years to implement a basic solution to FIX a basic flaw in your CRM. Remember....you are a CRM now too. I'd love a reply to this group with some acknowledgment if they care about their users.
Happy to see this is now on the radar @VSureshKumar , please keep us posted! This continues to be a critical requirement for accurately capturing all necessary data and properties in the Sales process. No amount of training or reminding users can prevent them from just creating Deals in advanced stages and skipping all of the required properties in any of the prior Deal stages.
