Required deal stages (so deals show in deal stage funnel report)

It would be good to be able to set required deal stages for a pipeline. For example; a pipeline for 'New business' (prosects that are not yet customers), it would be good to force the sales team to add a deal at the first stage then have to progress it through every stage until won/lost. Then every deal will show in the deal stage funnel report and allow us to measure sales performance.

Hi everyone, we've been rolling out the Deal Pipeline Rules feature and by Monday, February 5th, all HubSpot accounts on Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise will have access. Here's the Knowledge Base article with more details.

I agree, this does not seem like a time consuming feautre to add. It would help immensely with our data validity for reporting

How is this still not a feature? Hubspot is sooo slow at developing new features. Every one that I look up has been open for years and not been developed. Move faster!

We badly need this. Can't build any adequate conversion reports because of this linear approach. 
Look forward to when it will be added.  

I completely support that any of these solutions would make sense: 
1 - either to be able to move the Deal to the next stage (or Closed lost) only. 

2 - or to automatically put a time stamp on previous stages (Stage2, eg), if the Deal is moved from Stage1 to Stage3.

Co-signed. Deal funnel reports are useless without this functionality because there's too much missing data from skipped deal stages, even with strict internal standards. This is badly needed.

@hubspot please implement this! Funnels are kind of worthless if a salesperson forgets to pass a deal trhough every stage or is lazy and decides not to.

So disheartening to read 4 pages of users begging for this functionality. I've upvoted it, but don't feel very optimistic about Hubspot listening. As dozens have said before me, this issue renders HS funnel reports useless.

Need this! We have certain workflows built around certain stages. When reps skip a stage, it skips the workflows. We want reps to move through each required stage, in order. No more skipping ahead!

Commenting on behalf of a customer! This is a much needed feature for accurate funnel reporting.

 

We could give the option of forced progression through deal stages or if a user select a stage out of order, a pop up will appear that asks the users if they want to auto complete the previous stages in the pipeline

We DESPERATELY need this functionality. Our sales team keep skipping stages which means our dashboard reports are then inaccurate. Please implement this soon.

Hey team! Do we have any updates on this idea (making deal stages mandatory)? We definitely need this product update!

I recently had a case where they need this on specific deal stages, so not all of them being mandatory. Personalization would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
