Require Company/Contact/Ticket properties when Closing a Deal
Currently, when building out your deal stages, you can only require deal properties in order to move a deal into certain stages, but I'd love to see the ability to require a contact or company property to be known/filled in prior to moving a deal into a specific stage. Here's my use case:
One of my clients is having their sales team gather relevant information about the customer during the sales process so that the onboarding team has everything they need to hit the ground running, rather than chase down a customer for additional details. The onboarding team is not going to be working off of the deal, they will be working off of tickets and company records. If I could make certain company properties required to be filled in prior to moving a deal into the "closed won" stage, I could ensure that sales has provided their onboarding team with everything they need in the place they need to see it.
But instead, I currently have to build my properties on both the deal and company records and make the deal properties required to move the deal into the "closed won" stage. And then use workflows to copy those values over to the company record. This is a challenge because it's a lot of extra work but it's also not fool proof if I somehow already have some of the values on the company record, but I overwrite them with the deal properties required to "close won" a deal. I'd love to see some simplification come from this at some point.
