Reporting for Post Narration

I would love to see reporting on the new post narration module in content hub. At the very least I'd like to see how many people clicked to start the audio and how long they listened for.

Agreed. Would love to see narration metrics (such as # of starts, # of completions, average time listening, where dropoff occurs) built into the page performance report to see if narration boosts/hurts page engagement (would like to run A/B tests on blog pages to help evaluate this, too). Looking forward to having the feature AND reporting. Thanks.

That would actually be a useful feature. My team invests a lot of time in creating the audio files because the words are not always pronounced correctly, especially in German. Of course, this feature is also likely to please Google, but we truly see it as an added value for our website visitors. If no one uses it, it is questionable whether it is worth continuing to invest time in it.

Pretty funny to have so much metrics but for this feature, there is nothing. We want to see, if the effort does match the value.

The "post narration" feature is a promising step toward integrating new AI tools into the daily workflow of content creators. However, there is still room for improvement. In addition to the previously mentioned analytics and reports, I would appreciate the option for a library where specific words and their pronunciation can be stored. The quality varies greatly, especially with individual brand names. The biggest issue is the inconsistency in pronunciation within a single text, as well as the changes that occur each time a text is generated or regenerated.

Fantastic idea. An additional idea would be a pronunciation library or specific words, e.g. brand names. If anyone's interested in that, feel free to vote here:

If you have a HubSpot Marketing Enterprise subscription, there is a workaround to get at least some basic stats about narration plays which doesn't require the use of code. You can use the HubSpot Event Visualizer to set up a custom event and add it to a report. We've tested this and were able to see the amount of narration plays and include them in reporting. The following summary provides some steps about how to set this up:

Tracking Narration Plays Using HubSpot’s Tools

1. Set Up a Custom Behavioral Event with the Visualizer:

  • Use HubSpot's Event Visualizer to track when users click the play button on your blog's narration module.
  • Navigate to Data Management > Custom Events and create a new event by selecting the Clicked element type.
  • Use the visualizer to pinpoint the narration play button on your blog page.
  • Save the event to start tracking clicks.
  • Learn More About Creating Custom Events here.

2. Analyze Event Data:

  • After generating a view test plays using you tracked play button, check the completions of your custom event under Data Management > Custom Events to see how often the play button is clicked and confirm your custom event works as expected.

3. Create Reports to Monitor Engagement:

Note: You would need to set up a new custom event for every blog post narration module that you want to track this way.
