Is there a plan to develop the ability to rename standard fields as well? We have an integration between Salesforce and Hubspot and it would be good to change fields like "Company Owner" to "Account Owner" for instance.
Just got added to the Beta and the team is very excited.
I wanted to add that the HubSpot-provided properties, still have the default name and can not be edited. I know that this is in process but just flagging 🙂 Again, so excited about the beta and yet another customization that helps to make the system for user friendly to each company!
So happy to see this! The lack of this feature almost derailed our pre-sales process with some key stakeholders, so I am excited to try it out and get the message out internally that this is on its way.
We joined the beta but were disappointed to learn that Leads cannot be renamed. This was the one object that we really, really, wanted to be able to change the name of as it's the only one that causes consistent confusion and issues for our team. Yet another instance where Leads are an object (except only sort of, ok actually not really).
Very excited to see where this goes! It would be awesome if we could also be able to change the name of other objects. That might be in the works with this update but wanted to bring it up in case it wasn't. Example: we use Deals in HubSpot but as a company, we call these Subscriptions. Due to the fact that there is already an existing "Subscriptions" object, I can't change Deals > Subscriptions (unless I add a space at the end, but then you see two "Subscriptions" objects side-by-side in the navigation features).
We are using Tickets with a customer for a slightly different object. Super excited. I understand that moving forward, this rename will span accross the whole platform. For example - create forms.
This is a great add for someone who is currently migrating to HubSpot. Renaming Deals and Companies was a great benefit. If possible, please extend this to "Leads" within the sales workshop as well.
Our company would call these prospects and would like to use this new feature without causing confusion with nomencleture.
FYI (and would be lovely to include) - When you update the Deals object name, it doesn't update in the Sales Workspace. I've updated this portal's deal object name to "Matters":
Hi, we are attempting to test out the beta features of customizing the additional 4 objects. There seems to be 2 specific fields, which seem locked to the generic real estate template. Price - Number Field Price/sqft - Calculation Field
It would be nice to be able to delete / achive these, like we did with the other ones and make this object work for our use-case.
Also, on a side note, the object type ID seems to be hard-coded. Not a big issue, but this again would be nice to change for API integration.
I am so, so excited about this - a big step forward. Thank you. Any chance the same capability will follow with native properties? For some of us terms like Company simply do not apply and having the ability to change the display name of native objects would minimize the need for custom developed solutions.
