I have to send a deal closed email alert to my finance team and I have more information to share than what could fit in the 1000 character limit. Right now we send 2 alert emails for each deal that gets closed. ( It defeats the whole purpose of having an email alert! the finance team is still as confused as they were before the email alerts! )
The deal based internal emails should have the same level of functionality as the contact based workflow emails do ! Currently the internal email notification exists on deal based workflows but it is very limited in functionality.
(1000 character limit and only deal tokens allowed. The HTML formatting of the email is also not very sharp. )
This becomes very difficult to explain to higher level management who is now used to getting great automatic emails from the contact based workflows.
I totally agree with this. Although the limit seems to be 5000 characters now, there is currently a problem with formatting. Setting a font, a size or having text in bold results in a lot of characters used. My text is 1000 char long but it would result in 7000+ characters with size, font set and some parts in bold. I hope this will get fixed soon as it results in poorly formatted and short messages .
Forms are not customisable so I created a WF to show first and last name in the subject of my email but.... character limitations won't allow me to show the whole form via email... plus looks ugly
@Anu Although not an ideal solution, a work around for this issue could be to use the workflow to create a task (with no character limit I have yet hit) to send the information you would otherwise send in two or more internal email notifications. As long as the receipient has task notifications on they will receive all the information required in one email, though this will open a task in HubSpot so some consideration of how these will be actioned needs to take place.
