Remove Out of Office Owners from Assignment Workflows / Round Robin Tool And Meeting links
Right now-- managing out of office events is a total mess, we need one place/way to manage that. It would be even easier if it was based off one's google calendar availibility.
But we have instances where we are assigning reps automatically to records right before they go OOO for weeks.
Yes, we have the same problem here. When a "contact owner" goes on vacation or is off for a few days, tasks pile up, and they go crazy when they come back, sometimes with over 200 pending tasks. The solution we found currently is to remove the "contact owner" from the workflow, so tasks are not generated for them. However, in our case, we only have two pre-sales representatives. If one takes on the other’s tasks, they end up being overloaded.
Ideally, there would be a way to schedule the period the user will be out of the office, pausing their current tasks and not generating any new ones during that period. This way, other "contact owners" wouldn't be overloaded, and when the vacation period ends, tasks would start being generated again.
