Rearrange properties to include in slack notifications + rich text field

I'd like to propose some enhancements to the Slack notifications feature within HubSpot workflows to make them more versatile and user-friendly.

Currently, when setting up Slack notifications in workflows, there are a few limitations that I believe could be improved upon:

  1. Inability to Reorder Properties: It would be beneficial to have the ability to reorder the properties that should be attached to Slack notifications. Currently I have to delete all properties when I would like to add one on the first position, and re-add the other properties afterwards, which is quite time consuming and laborious, especially if you have a lot of properties to include in the Slack notification.

  2. Lack of Text Styling Options: Currently, the Slack notifications sent from HubSpot workflows do not support text styling options such as bold, colors, font sizes, and other visual adjustments. Adding these styling options would enable users to highlight important information and improve the overall readability and aesthetics of the notifications.

By addressing these limitations, users would have greater flexibility and control over the Slack notifications generated by HubSpot workflows, ultimately enhancing their effectiveness in communicating important updates and actions to team members.

I believe implementing these enhancements would significantly improve the user experience and make the Slack notifications feature in HubSpot workflows even more valuable for teams. Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Agree! I would really like to see both of these features available!

The text formatting would be great to have in the UI.

You can format the text in the Message box by using markdown.

Bold: Wrap text between *asterisks*

Italic: Wrap text between _underscores_

Strikethrough: Wrap text between ~tildes~

Here's a slack article with more examples: https://slack.com/intl/en-gb/help/articles/202288908-Format-your-messages#markup

I only used the 'include properties' drop down because of the formatting it offered (bolds the property name in the slack message).

Since I discovered that markdown is compatible, I add the properties in the message box and format them with markdown.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for sharing this helpful tip @Kyle456789! Leveraging markdown for text formatting in the Message box is indeed a great workaround. It would be nice to be able to add emojis, too.

It would be helpful to be able to tag people in slack too.
