Quotes & Invoices - Feature Request (Installments)
A couple things seem short-sighted or half implemented here. My number one complaint is how quotes and invoices work together, especially for installments.
First:
1. Why do you need to create a quote to create invoice installments. It would be ideal if you could create a "sales order" and have invoice installments. We use pandadoc to create estimates, so creating estimates/quotes in HS is redundnant.
HOWEVER:
In order to use pamyent installments you have to create a quote. Fine. Kind of annoying but a can be done with a workaround - create the quote without signature.
BUT THEN...
The first invoice doest get created until it is paid....**bleep** is the reasoning for this. This makes reporting terrible. To look at unpaid invoices, I have to look at unpaid invoices and unpaid quotes.
The Solution
A) Create an invoice when the quote is created.
or
B) Allow invoice installments without quotes. and similarly, create the first invoice immediately, not after it is paid.
