Quickbooks Integration - Automatically Associate invoices to Companies
We want to have the automatic association that happens with contacts when the invoice is synced, to also happen from Invoice to Company.
It is possible to do this manually, but we are looking for a way for this to happen automatically if possible. I have looked at integrations like Associ8 but it does not seem to work with the invoice object.
That would be super handy! I imagine using the quickbooks API and syncing it through a custom code workflow you could maybe create something, or even utilize Zapier to help integrate the two. Might require adding either the deal or contact record ID into quickbooks so there is the ability to match the hubspot record to the associated invoice in qb.
Also seeking this ability to prevent manual association. Briefly considered writing custom code in a workflow to detect the invoice contact -> company association and using that association to create the invoice -> company association. If someone figures out the custom code piece I'd love to see the code!
I agree with @LStegemann - the fact that the support to sync invoices to companies doesn't exist just blows my mind. It's as if B2B wasn't even considered when creating this integration. Please provide this ASAP!!
In a way this just makes common sense because you send the invoice to a company and the money comes from them. You might have a contact that approves the invoice but the moeny comes out of the companies checkbook not the contacts!! Right now I can do a poor mans 'open invoice report' in Hubspot but all I get is the contacts name.... not the company. This is a horse and carriage relationship. "You cant have one without the other1"
Without the ability to synch invoices with the company object, the synch option becomes worthless to us. Associating invoices with a contact is not always the best option as people change roles / companies - and that takes away the ability to track invoices by company
This was a requested feature but the sync functionality is kindof botched. The problem is that the syncing process doesn't work well with the way Quickbooks handles email addresses. Quickbooks doesn't discern between Contacts and Companies the way HubSpot does and that causes a lot of problems. It seems like they went from manual matching to automatic matching, but didn't give us a way to override the automatic method which is still quite buggy. I wish there was a way to override.
It is definitely a game-changer to give salespeople the ability to create their own invoices and sync that over to Quickbooks so accounting teams don't have to manually create duplicate invoices. Speeds up invoicing, speeds up payment, and reduces accounting overhead.
But only when it works. Along for the ride, but would appreciate some tools to help ease the transition.
If a Deal or a Contact is assoicated with an Invoice, why wouldnt the Company associated with those records also be associated??
Further, If I change an association for a Contact on a Deal, why in the world wouldn't that Contact also be associated with the Company associated with that Deal????
This is an absurd omission. This should have been how this was built, and we certainly should have had to wait this long for a fix for this.
