When you link a product from the product library to a deal, the item does not remain "linked". When saying this, I mean that if you change any facet of the product in the product library, it has absolutely no impact to the product within the deals themselves.
I would propose that if you are linking a product to a deal from the library, it should remain linked, and therefore be altered whenever changes are made to the product library.
To quell anyone's possible concerns over this, a possibility to toggle on/off as to whether the product is linked could be useful. That way, the product can either remain linked, or it will merely take the results from when you first pulled the information.
