Thanks for following up @ErikaJ! Out of interest, would the "shareable" URL for the email work just as well? These can be accessed by folks who don't have a login for the portal and can be accessed by clicking the thumbnail of the email on the email details screen. They're usually on the domain name "preview.hs-sites.com". We're definitely not saying no to the idea of a PDF export, just trying to understand the limitations of the current features in-app. Thanks!
Hi @GAC! Thanks for reaching out with your feedback! While we don't have any concrete plans to introduce pdf export for the emails themselves just yet, I'd love to learn a little more about what the goal is with the pdf itself. Do you use that to share the email content/design with colleagues, or to "archive" a copy of all your emails locally? Any extra info you can share is super useful to myself and my team. Thanks!
@Shay our content approver likes to go old-school and read through the emails printed out. This is why we would love to be able to download the email as a PDF - so I can then print easily. At the moment i use a chrome extension to screenshot the email but it is sometimes quite blurry and doesn't work so well.
PDF's would also be super helpful to share via outlook email, for example to a sales team address to preview the content before publishing.
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to address a crucial issue that has been affecting our user experience with the CRM. As a dedicated HubSpot subscriber, we greatly appreciate the platform's capabilities, but there is one significant limitation that hampers our efficiency.
The lack of an email print functionality within the HubSpot portal is becoming a major obstacle for our team. We frequently need to print out logged emails associated with specific accounts/companies, and the absence of this feature forces us to resort to cumbersome workarounds. We have explored the suggested approach of taking screenshots and converting them into PDFs, but this is time-consuming and not conducive to a seamless workflow.
Our team relies heavily on HubSpot for its powerful tools and comprehensive features. The CRM has been instrumental in streamlining our communication and organizing critical information. However, not having the ability to print emails directly from the platform takes away from all the good work it does for its subscribers.
We urge you to consider implementing the long-awaited email print functionality to enhance user experience and productivity. This feature has been highly requested and supported by numerous HubSpot users, as evident from the active discussions in the HubSpot Ideas Forum.
By introducing this essential enhancement, HubSpot can demonstrate its commitment to delivering a seamless user experience and further solidify its position as a leading CRM platform.
We kindly request that you prioritize this development and provide us with a clear timeline for its implementation. Our team is eager to see this idea put into action and benefit from the improved efficiency it will bring.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Your commitment to delivering exceptional features is greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing the email print functionality integrated into HubSpot soon.
Four years later and this is still a very much needed feature.
We collect rates list from our hundreds of suppliers every year, which for ease of use we save in a separate database organized by region, supplier, and year. When suppliers send us their rates in the email body, rather than in a separate PDF or Word document, our standard practice is to print the email to PDF and save it to the appropriate folder. Having the ability to print or save emails directly from the HubSpot inbox would save us valuable time and brain cells.
We have a credit union client who is being audited and needs to provide PDF versions of all of their emails. This is very cumbersome without the option to print emails directly to PDF. Would love to see this feature implemented in the near future!
Hello, I'd love to have that function too for clients that prefer doc version of our newsletters! I've tried using the print to PDF function, but the images break and also there are vertical size restrictions.
This is a vital capability. For example, I need to comply with a subpeona to provide all communication with a particular client/individual. I need to be able to export all communication to a .pdf to provide copies to the requesting parties.
To do the job, we are using an external third party solution to convert email in PDF and print the email in real time, it works fine, but it has to be installed on a Windows PC or server, the tool is Automatic Email Manager from Namtuk.
This feature would be extremely helpful for us as we use HubSpot to send internal company newsletters. We would like to be able to archive our previous newsletters on our company intranet, accessible by all employees, so they are able to read previous newsletters without searching in their email archives. right now if I email a preview to myself I am then able to print to PDF but it messes with the image formatting and leaves email header text that I do not with to have on there.
