Prevent "Show in Search Results" Rule from being reset to default

Search Results Rules.png

We have a custom Contact Property that is a unique identifier and it is critical that we are able to search by that property. Since it is not one of the standard search terms in the Contact object, we edit that Property and with a rule tell the upper search bar to "Show in Search Results", which is fantastic!

HOWEVER, sometimes that rule gets turned off and we have no idea why!! That means every so often a colleague will tell me it's broken and I have to go turn the rule on again.

Can this somehow be

  • Locked from being changed ... or
  • Made to NOT return to a default state ... or
  • Assigned as a Default ?

I don't know what the particular fix would be, I just know it hurts HubSpot adoption when my colleagues see this as HubSpot "failing".

Hey @RNoll, thanks so much for submitting this!

I wanted to reach out because this is the first time our team has heard of this issue, and we're wondering if it might be a bug. Have you reached out to our support team about this issue? They would be best equipped to help you trace the source of the issue and look into whether or not this is a result of the tool doing something it shouldn't be doing. You can find contact information for our support team here.

Thanks so much! And please feel free to let us know if you have additional thoughts or feedback once you've spoken with them.
