Preserve data for deactivated users in the Forecast applications

The problem: When a sales rep leaves the company, we deactivate that user. This messes with forecasting however, as none of the already closed won deals from that rep will show up anymore in the forecast. The deactivated sales rep is automatically being unassociated from his team, it seems, which means we lose all historical data for that user in the Forecast tool. Historical data for deactivated users should be preservered.

Problem: When we deactivate a user in HubSpot, it alters our team goals in the Forecast functionality.
By deactivating old members on HubSpot, we lost their won deals in the team goal. However, their individual goals remain intact. Because of that, the Sales Forecast can be incorrect. As a result of this situation, the final ammount could seem lower.
In addition, by deactivating the user and no longer using the Sales Pro license, Hubspot considers that the person is no longer part of the team. For our company, it's not correct. But HubSpot does not offer an alternative to preserve them in our group without a license.

We are currently working with the Forecasting functionality in our sales team. Every time a member leaves the team (and we deactivate their user and license), this causes errors in the total ammount. Indeed, this fact is affecting the team involved as it seems that they have not reached their sales goals or have reached a certain percentage.
Please could this functionality be revised? Is any possible solution to preserve all the goals and take them into account in the Sales Forecasts? (Despite the user being unactivated or without a Sales license).
Otherwise, it forces us to keep active and pay licenses for people not currently working in the company. It's not fair to do that to obtain a Sales Forecast report with trusted data.

+1 on this! We need the Closed Won amount in our Forecast tool to include the Closed Won Deal Amounts from users who are no longer with the company. It doesn't make sense to reassign those closed deals to existing users, and it doesn't make sense that revenue from deactivated users wouldn't count towards our Closed Won amount in the Forecast
