Pipeline specific Default Deal Properties

Hello Team, 


Our use case:

We have various pipelines, for various sales cycles and sometimes various types of contacts or companies.

The Deal's information we need to access depend on the pipeline the deal is in. Since the "default deal properties" is made to display the "most important" information of a deal, we need this group of "most important" information to be pipeline specific.


Our suggestion:

To propose to create multiple "default deal properties", each one having a name. Then, admin should be able to decide to which pipeline to apply this "default deal properties". A "default deal properties" may be applied to one or more pipelines. It's ok to have a limit on the possible numbers of possible "default deal properties" if needed. 10 or 20 maximum would already be amazing.


Note: I've written the above with the understanding that "default deal properties" are controlling both the "about" section on the deal and the properties available when creating a new deal on the card that's opening on the right of the screen.

It would be super useful if the fields displayed on Create A Deal tab were dependent to the Pipeline selected. 


We have several different pipelines and the fields each specific pipeline need when creating a deal differ greatly. Right now the only option appears to be just adding the "Set the properties your team sees when creating deals." which is not a good solution. This clutters up the list massivly and people are less likely to fill in the fields because there are so many.


This idea would also be great on the contact/company if you could make the fields displayed dependent on a specific field.

This functionality would allow us to integrate and manage a growing number of pilot projects with greater nuance than our basic sales tracking can manage without making every record so cumbersome - generating greater value and an increased propensity for closing deals and turning Contacts into Customers! 


We NEED this!! I'm not aware of how much attention HubSpot is paying to its CRM, but this kind of features are a must!!


Can we upvote 10 times? 


We have regional pipelines for our global organization that leverage different properties. I set some default properties and then I wake up to different ones because Australia came on and set their default properties. Property view by pipeline is necessary for any company that sells more than one product or has a global team. Please implement! Looks like it has been 1.5 years since the idea was brought up.

I'm a member of our Product team and I wanted to let you all know that this is something we are actively thinking about and hope to deliver soon! Please continue to provide examples and use-cases on this issue, I will provide an update once this functionality is closer to beta.

As part of this I would like to see forecasting and products within HubSpot to be enhanced so that you can forecast Deals that include Products eg: we are a SaaS company, in the Deals Workflows you can create a workflow to auto-create a deal, the deal consists of a client that wants products as part of the deal: 5 x Type A Software Licenses and 2 x Type B Software Licenses. The client or HubSpot owner can enter the quantity, they can check out online and that closes the deal. It auto updates the Forecast and the Deal as Closed Won.


Currently Products is NOT an object in Dashboard reports, nor Workflows. You cannot forecast deals with products properly. In Forecasting or Goals - you need to be able to have targets: eg: I want my sales team to sell 20 x Type A Software Licenses PER MONTH and 10 x Type B Software Licenses PER MONTH. This has both a target NUMBER (QUANTITY) of PRODUCTS and a target REVENUE number. It should auto calculate revenue based on the quantity of PRODUCTS. You should be able to set goals for forecasting target numbers based on Products (quantity) and Revenue.


We need different default property values based on pipeline, but also different mandatory fields, as well as ticket closure requirements.


Our use is primarily in Service Hub through Tickets. We really need this to support our operations across different organizations in our company for full adoption and maximum utilization of Hubspot!


We have 2 very different pipelines, one of which isn't related to sales. We essentially need a completely different set of properties for the 2nd pipeline versus typical sales process.



This would be extremely valuable for our business due to dealing with several differnet types of client and accounts.


The sooner we can implement this the better as we are currently working with 4 different pipelines. 


It would be very helpful to allow each pipeline to have its own properties. For example we use one for mortgage origniation and we also want to use Hubspot for Recruiting and would have different standard field requirements for each pipeline.


Allowing us to create custom templates for each pipeline to work from would really be helpful and avoid a lot of work around.  


Hi guys, this is a really good idea and something worthy for companies handling multiple countries within the same system.

My suggestion is :

When you create a deal, and you choose a certain pipeline (Brazilian_pipeline) (French_pipeline) or even for different teams (Shoes_pipeline) (Jackets_pipeline), etc then all deal properties below would automatically change to fir the exact needs of each country/team in terms of what they need to fill as mandatory fields.

Please (pretty please) try to make this available sometime soon, our teams and countries are eager to use it, it would be a HUGE improvement on their UX within the Sales tool and deal creation process 🙂
