Phone Number Formatting Options

Does anyone else have the need to force numbers to format from 5555555555 to 555-555-5555? This would allow for me to keep my database clean.

I saw a post from 3 years ago that was tagged as in consideration for feature development, but nothing has happened yet.

maybe take it one step further and create an E164 format which includes a "+countrycode" to the formatted number

It would also be handy to be able to make it Mandatory to choose an E164 format when manually entering a client phone number. 

As of 05/2022 it is optional, but it would be a great way of keeping phone numbers uniform so our phone system (3CX) can pick up and give us decent caller ID. At the moment, we have users putting in all sorts of data including formats such as (example only) : 0061, +61, 61 and often without any country code whatsoever.
