We have a few large, enterprise sites that have many localized pages and different content teams for different regions of the world. We need to be able to partition the localizations (multi-language variations) separately from their parent page, so, for instance, the Mexico team would have sole access to the Mexico variation, the Middle East team would have sole access to the Arabic variation, the US team would have access to the "parent", etc. and they could not edit each other's localizations.
At the present time, the partition can only be set on the parent page, which doesn't mitigate the risk of editors working with the wrong variant.
