Option to block free email providers from booking via Meetings link

Since we can block free email providers and certain domains from filling out standard HubSpot forms, it would be great if Meetings link forms could also block those.

Hi everyone! My name is Hallie and I am an Associate Program Manager on our CXM team. I'm excited to share that the ability to block free email domains in meeting links is now out of Beta and available for meetings! This will block all email domains in this list, and this setting will be found under the Forms section of the meeting link editor. This feature is available for Sales Starter, Professional & Enterprise, and Service Starter, Professional & Enterprise tiers. 😊

Hi Everyone!

I'm happy to share that this is now in a private beta! If you would like to be an early beta tester, you can request access through the product updates section of your portal by following the steps here. We will likely keep approvals small to start before opening a public beta to a wider group. This feature is available for Sales Hub and Service Hub Starter+ seated users.

@CSJr Hi! Thanks for the feedback and some insight to your use case here.  This is interesting. Can you tell me a bit more about your reporting and how they're impacted? I'd like to especially learn a bit about this as we consider our next year goals too.  Feel free to shoot me a private message or an email!

I've just updated the progress on this to In Planning.  We're currently in the final planning phase before we start implementing it, so we're movin' on it!

Hi Again folks

Thank you so much for all of your wonderful feedback. Thank you to everyone who has met and chatted with me as well!  Your feedback has been greatly appreciated as we've been iterating through a solid solution for this in our meetings tool.

We're currently planning this at the moment, and either Melissa or I will be happy to share an update on this as soon as it is implemented.  We greatly appreciate your guidance and transparency on this in sharing your feedback and use cases.

Thank you!

Hi folks! I'm the designer for Meetings.  I've got a couple iterations to address this very issue and would love to both get some feedback and better understand your use cases to better help how we approach this.  If you're interested in a quick convo feel free to shoot me a message and we can get something set up!

Hi All!

I'm Melissa, the Product Manager for HubSpot's Meetings tool.

Thank you all for your feedback! The team has been discussing this request and we agree how important it is. We are actively evaluating how to implement this and considering where it will fall into our plans for this year.

I'll post any updates in this thread once we have an idea on the implementation, and then I'll change the status of this thread to "In Planning" once we are actively building this feature. Stay tuned!

Commenting on behalf of a customer. As a B2B business, they are looking to block free email providers as generally those who book meetings are not looking to really use their service but spam accounts.

Definitely needed and should not be a huge stretch to implement since regular forms already support this?

B2B business here. We have been able to protect our sales team from spam in our PPC landing page contact forms through "block free domains" and adding additional known spammers. However we can't adaptive test meeting booking on these pages (presumably a lower barrier to entry) because our sales team is being booked by spammers using free domains since we can't implement this on the meetings feature. Please fix this.

This would be huge for our team as well. Can you please re-evaluate and see if this would be possible to implement soon? Thanks!

@glencornell disappointed that this is not planned. We have a major problem with unethical sales people and spammers using our Discovery Call embedded calendar to book meetings on our site. It is a huge waste of time.

Please add this feature. It's a tiny thing to add and customers have been asking for it for years.

We would love to have this as we are a B2B company and we've been getting a lot of no shows for the demo sessions that are getting booked.

This is really needed. The CRM keeps getting filled with junk emails, messes up with reporting, fills Sales rep calendar spots, and adds manual logistics to deal with it and keep everything tidy...

@glencornell Hey! Any update on where this stands on the roadmap? Saw on your LinkedIn you're no longer PM on Rep Engagement and Meetings as of 8 months ago. Is there a new contact at HubSpot to keep us informed?

This is becoming a problem for us since we now provide the options for our website visitors to book a demo directly on our site. Spam, bots, no-shows galore...

@glencornell can we please get a reponse to this, the thread has been open for years and non-business bookings and spammers are killing this for us all.

Thanks!

This is really needed for all B2B businesses. If we can't block spammers and fake accounts then we're going to have to use another booking tool that does allow for this. This should be an easy fix and has been asked for for YEARS. What's going on HubSpot?!
