Thanks for the suggestion here. While notifying task creators when a task is completed a great idea, it's not currently on our roadmap for the next couple of quarters. For that reason, I am switching the status of this idea to Not Currently Planned.
We'll re-evaluate this idea in the coming quarters and update the status accordingly if anything changes.
Such requests (like notifications) can be built using HubSpot workflow actions. However, not all HubSpot tiers offer workflows. And even if you do have access to workflows, they need to be set up correctly to work as intended.
With that in mind - what if I built an app? A simple yet effective app with a few notification actions, like:
Task completed
Task status (e.g., in progress)
Add watchers to a task
Do you think that would be useful? I’m thinking of pricing it at $9 or $19 per month. Would your business benefit from tracking task status more easily and effectively?
Does that sound like something worth investing in?
Hello HubSpotters! I’ve got something exciting coming your way soon -- a simple yet powerful app that lets you get notifications about task statuses or any other changes in objects. Stay tuned for more! If you'd like to test-drive our pilot version, please DM me. Thanks!
Hey all, happy to introduce you all to the pilot version of Notifyer - Track & Notify tasks and not only in HubSpot, please DM for full access or if you would like to chat more about features... Your insights are invaluable in helping me improve and ensure the product meets your needs.
What did you like about the new features?
Were there any issues or bugs you encountered?
How did the beta release impact your workflow?
Do you have any suggestions for further improvements?
Hey guy, I'm Isaac and I'm a software engineer, I'm excited to announce I just finished building my first (of many) HubSpot app. It will help solve this missing HubSpot feature, it's called "Task Notifier", and as the name says, it sends an email notification when a task is marked as completed.
Slack notification are coming up next, I'm already working on it and other improvements.
The app's URL in the video was updated and is now https://tasknotifier.com just access the URL and click the install button, for now the app is not listed in the marketplaces, as I first need at least 3 install to be able to request my app to be listed in the marketplace, so I would greately appreciate your help if you can give my app a try.
Obviously the app requires payment, but don't worry, if you are not happy with it just ask for a refund, we won't try to change your mind.
Let me know what you guys think, if you come across any issues or if you have any feedback, its always welcomed.
