I think there should be a toggle for documents that does not require a user to enter their email address to open a document. Certain ones it makes sense but others, like if you are trying to grow a product line, are hindered by the fact that you have to enter your email address to open them. I know this would make the reporting harder and in somecases not possible but for some of us it is preferrable. The other issue that is casued by having to enter an email address is if they enter it incorrectly it will create a new contact.
If you turn off the GDPR toggle inside a sales document, then you're able to create a shareable link for the document, that doesn't require the contact/recipient to enter their email address in order to view the document.
That works, I had called support and was told that it was not possible to not requre it on a document and that was only for an individual email. Looks like they were incorrect because this works.
