Hi everyone! My name is Hallie and I am an Associate Program Manager on our Customer Experience Management Team. I’m excited to share that a dark/night mode feature across tools in HubSpot is something that is on our roadmap, and currently in planning!
To be transparent, this feature is part of a larger initiative for improving HubSpot’s Design Structure, so while it is currently part of the planning for this, we don’t yet have an ETA of when this specific feature will be available in HubSpot. My goal is to be in regular communication with our product teams so that as updates and ETA's are announced, I can share them here with you all. We understand having more regular updates on feature requests, especially popular ones, is critical, so that’s what I’m here to do. 😊
Hey folks, thanks for the continued feedback and use cases you've shared in this thread. Reading through your comments about eye strain, accessibility needs, and long work sessions helps us understand what's at stake.
Dark mode remains one of our top feature requests and we’re building toward it.Our new visual themelays crucial groundwork: the neutral palette and improved contrast standards create the foundation that makes dark mode technically possible across HubSpot's platform.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to advocate for this feature. Dark mode is one of our top priorities, and the work underway now is what will make it possible. While we can’t share a specific timeline yet, your feedback directly shapes our approach, and we’ll reach out here once we’re ready for testing or have clarifying questions.
The new color theme (plum purple) is not the same as dark mode 🙂 It's still bright because of the white colour. I use most apps in dark mode - word, browsers, outlook, any website that supports it.
This helps with low light visibility, such as working in bed at night, or in situations when you are on battery on your laptop and want a darker option to reduce battery usage.
I am writing to express significant concern regarding the persistent absence of a native Dark Mode feature within the HubSpot CRM. As a dedicated user who spends approximately eight hours a day working within your application, the constant exposure to the bright white interface is causing considerable eye strain and discomfort.
It is frankly surprising to note that user requests for Dark Mode date back to at least 2019. It is perplexing that various new functionalities are consistently being introduced, yet such a fundamental, health-focused feature remains unimplemented.
Currently, I am forced to rely on a third-party extension, Night Eye, to achieve a dark theme. While helpful, relying on non-native software introduces lag and is a clear indicator that a proper, seamless solution is long overdue.
If the technical implementation proves challenging internally, I would strongly suggest reaching out to the developers of this proven solution to acquire the necessary expertise. Their contact details are: extensions@promotino.com (Developer: PROMOTINO OOD, Mladost 1 A Distr., bl.No 537, fl. 1, apt. 2A Sofia 1729 BG).
My company invests in your product licenses to ensure efficient and productive work. We should not be compelled to use clumsy workarounds because a basic feature, requested for years, has been ignored. Generic assurances that you are "aware" of the need and plan to implement it "soon" are no longer satisfactory; this is now a matter of urgency.
Working eight hours a day means my eyes are genuinely suffering from the bright interface. I trust that you will treat this feedback with the seriousness it deserves and prioritize a definitive solution.
As a daily HubSpot user, I’d really like to see a native dark mode added to the platform. Spending long hours in the CRM or dashboards under bright white backgrounds causes a lot of eye strain, especially during evening work.
Browser extensions like Dark Reader help a bit, but they’re not reliable—they often distort colors, break contrast, and cause performance issues. A proper built-in dark mode would look cleaner, function better, and support accessibility standards.
Dark mode is now a standard expectation across modern software. It reduces eye fatigue, provides consistency with OS-level settings, and gives the interface a more polished, professional feel. Implementing it would make a noticeable difference for heavy users and teams who rely on HubSpot every day.
