Night mode

It'd be fab if HubSpot had the option for a night/dark mode to improve the UI.

Did my eyes in working in the Chatflow tool all day (with blue-light blocking glasses!)

Most of our non-hubspot website is in dark mode. Editing Forms, CTA's and other embedded content is brutal without dark mode in the HubSpot editor - especially when I change the font colour to white.

There is a strong desire for a dark mode in the CRM system in our company (Grønn Jobb) as well, we have over 100 employees using HubSpot as a CRM system, and an increasing number of them are requesting a dark mode. Personally, I use the chrome://flags dark mode feature, which is not the ideal solution.

There is a strong desire for a dark mode in the CRM system (overall in hubspot) in our company (Grønn Jobb) as well, we have over 100 employees using HubSpot as a CRM system, and an increasing number of them are requesting a dark mode. Personally, I use the chrome://flags dark mode feature, which is not the ideal solution and breaks hubspot sometimes.

How does a phenomenal software like Hubspot not provide a night/dark mode to its users by now, after years and years of requesting it?  It kind of comes off as lazy programming and development in ignoring us, the cusomters. Considering how much its been requested, and how people using Hubspot are on a screen all day long, please give us something to help our eyes!!

I LOVE Hubspot, but I'm forced to use a Hubspot CRM Chrome Extension and send out my emails from Gmail on the side so they don't get sent to my contacts in an unreadable blob.  Sending emails from Hubspot is unreliable with a dark mode extension on. For months I was sending emails from Hubspot with a Dark Mode extension on my browser, and had no idea that most of my recipients were getting unreadable messages until it was brought to my attention.

Hubspot, please take these requests seriously and provide a native dark mode, we would all be very grateful! Many of us can't handle a bright white page blaring at our eyes all day long.  Thank you!

Here is a similar thread requesting Night Mode accomodations in Marketing Email sends. I think these functionalities would go hand in hand and it may be beneficial to comment and upvote this post, as well. The comments and upvotes are what tells HubSpot the feature is HIGHLY needed, so it is helpful to do it in as many threads as possible!

+1 -- HubSpot is the only thing I use that ISN'T in dark mode, at this point.

They have a goal to sell and then not care about people with vision issues.

You can all go blind for all we care is the message we get it ! Your big
fat logo and commission earning sales is all that matters!

HubSpot Product Team

Hi everyone! My name is Hallie and I am an Associate Program Manager on our Customer Experience Management Team. I’m excited to share that a dark/night mode feature across tools in HubSpot is something that is on our roadmap, and currently in planning!

To be transparent, this feature is part of a larger initiative for improving HubSpot’s Design Structure, so while it is currently part of the planning for this, we don’t yet have an ETA of when this specific feature will be available in HubSpot. My goal is to be in regular communication with our product teams so that as updates and ETA's are announced, I can share them here with you all. We understand having more regular updates on feature requests, especially popular ones, is critical, so that’s what I’m here to do. 😊

If you need a more immediate option in the meantime, there is still the Chrome Extension for Dark Mode for HubSpot that you can use, and there is a Dark Mode Preview in Marketing Emails available as of February 2025. That is available for all Hubs and Tiers.

Keep your eyes open for more updates to come!

@hhiggins Wow, it changed to planning. Looking into the first request dating back to 2019 makes me worry that I'll still be able to see the dark mode becoming a reality.
It might be another year or two until you've launched your whole design structure.

Overall, it's great to hear that after hundreds of complaints and requests, you've considered including it, but way too late. It's not about your design initiative.

In our digital age, accessibility should be a cornerstone of every online platform. Yet, despite the widespread acknowledgment of its importance, some companies persist in neglecting the needs of users with disabilities. One such example is HubSpot, whose failure to prioritize accessibility features like night mode and high-contrast options has left visually impaired users struggling to engage with its platform. However, the time for change is now. By understanding the legal obligations and following the examples set by industry leaders, HubSpot—and companies everywhere—can transform their platforms into beacons of inclusivity.

HubSpot’s Blind Eye:

The deafening silence from HubSpot in response to community feedback dating back to 2019 speaks volumes. Despite clear calls for features like night mode and high-contrast options, HubSpot has failed to heed the needs of visually impaired users. With numerous posts garnering significant support and engagement in the community forums (Night mode Community Post, High-contrast mode Community Post), it’s evident that the demand for accessibility features is both urgent and widespread.

Following the Lead:

Contrast HubSpot’s stagnation with the proactive steps taken by industry leaders like Microsoft and Google. Microsoft’s integration of features like Narrator and high-contrast themes into their operating systems sets a high standard for accessibility. Similarly, Google’s commitment to inclusivity shines through in their suite of products, with features like Voice Access and Live Caption enhancing usability for users with disabilities. These companies demonstrate that prioritizing accessibility isn’t just a moral imperative—it’s also a key driver of innovation and user satisfaction.

Legal Obligations:

In both the United States and the European Union, laws and regulations mandate accessibility for digital platforms. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the U.S. and the Web Accessibility Directive (Directive 2016/2102) and European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) in the EU underscore the obligation for companies to ensure equal access to their platforms for individuals with disabilities. Compliance isn’t just a legal requirement—it’s a fundamental aspect of corporate responsibility and social justice.

A Call to Action:

The path to inclusivity is clear, and the time for action is now. HubSpot, along with companies across all industries, must prioritize accessibility in their design processes. Implementing features like night mode and high-contrast options isn’t just about meeting legal requirements—it’s about empowering users and fostering a more equitable digital landscape. By listening to their community, engaging with their users, and embracing the principles of accessibility, companies can lead the way towards a future where everyone can participate fully in the digital world.

Conclusion:

Inclusivity isn’t just a checkbox to tick—it’s a mindset that should permeate every aspect of product development and user experience design. As we move forward, let’s not just meet the bare minimum of legal requirements; let’s aspire to create platforms that are truly accessible to all. Together, we can build a digital world where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive.

To those who have experienced the frustration of encountering inaccessible platforms, know that your voices matter. By speaking up and advocating for change, you are driving the conversation towards greater inclusivity. Your experiences are not just obstacles to overcome—they are catalysts for progress.

For those working within companies like HubSpot, I urge you to be agents of change within your organizations. Use your influence to champion accessibility initiatives, whether it’s advocating for the implementation of specific features or pushing for a broader cultural shift towards inclusivity. Your actions can make a real difference in the lives of countless users.

By embracing accessibility in all its forms, we can unlock the full potential of technology to empower and enrich the lives of every individual, regardless of their abilities. So let’s roll up our sleeves, join forces, and build a future where everyone belongs.

Seeing Dark Mode become a reality on Hubspot would be great, it's currently the only tool I use that doesn't support it, and I need it a lot!
