Need notifications on records I choose to follow, not the records I own

Currently the record updates notification options notify you for records you own or follow, but instead it should be only those I choose to follow.  I own many records as the Account Manager, but I only want to specifiy certain tickets I want to FOLLOW and receive actually notifications on.  

 

If I were to keep these notifications on as they currently are - I am bombarded by notifications for all of the companies I own.

 

Please make the option to Follow and receive notifications separate from whether you own the account or not.
