wav files that are uploaded to a contact, deal, or ticket record will not play when accessed through Chrome browser. I am told this is due to the fact that Chrome does not have a wav file player. HubSpot needs to create their own as these files save as links. That means we can't simply download the file and choose to open in a different player.
Our phone system sends voicemails as .wav files to our support email. We have Hubspot setup to automatically create a ticket for any email received. Currently the ticket shows the .wav file as an attachment but we are not able to simply download or listen due to the fact that Chrome does not have a wav file player. Agree with the above idea that HubSpot needs to create their own as these files save as links. That means we can't simply download the file and choose to open in a different player.
If you drop the .wav file into a compressed .zip file and then attach the .zip file then it should work. Bit of an annoying workaround though, but it seems to work and it's only a couple of extra mouse clicks.
