More Editing and Viewing Room for Left Side Panel - Record Property Details
Problem: CRM Object record (Company, Contact, Deals) information is viewed and edited in the left side panel. The left side panel is 1/4 screen size. There is not much real estate given for viewing or editing. This is challenging for multi-line text properties.
All of the room has been giving to the middle wide section (which I understand).
Current State: The object screen is split into 3 sections ( 1/4 size - 1/2 size - 1/4 size )
IDEA - Future State: The user can expand or collapse the left side panel. When the left side panel is expanded, the middle section is collapsed to provide more space for viewing or editing record property details. (Especially for multi-line text properties)
How: In the collapsed state, a + (plus sign) is displayed at the top of the left side panel. Clicking the + sign causes the middle section to becomes 1/4 screen size and the left side panel becomes 1/2 screen size.
In the expanded state, the + sign disappears and is replaced with the < (less than) symbol. Clicking the < symbol collapses the left side panel and returns the middle section back to 1/2 screen size. By default the the screen is always reset back to it's normal state.
Side Note: Maybe this would allow for Multi-Line Rich Text properties. Oh to dream!!
