Messages - Allow offline message notifications to be routed to any email address
In the "Message Routing" it would be great to be able to type in an email address for "Offline fallback" instead of selecting a specific user or team.
In our case, we want to send these notifications to a team email address rather than a specific user, or to each member of the team seperately (when selecting a team).
Currently we don't have a way to do so without creating a "dummy" account using that team email address and setting that user as the offline fallback.
Hi all! You may have noticed that we've done away with the "offline message" notification and now any chats that come in while all team members are offline (or online if you've configured it that way) go to an Unassigned queue. Each user can set up their notification preferences to be notified about these messages 🙂
The whole reason behind being offline is that I'm not at the computer so to have an offline message emailed to me at this time is useless. I would love the option to have messages emailed to a generic email such as info@ so that other team members can pick this up. This would be useful for us as we can't justify have multiple people on sales pro. It's all about delighting the customer at the end of the day. My current solution is turning the messages feature off all together when away from the computer which is a real shame.
Our case is that we are a 3 people side project startup and we have other obligations during office hours. We never know who could be able to react to chat messages. We can't assign one account to be online during office hours because HubSpot doesn't allow us to capture each others chats.
One option is that we are all offline and after potential customer writes a message she is prompted to give us their email. The problem is that if the potential customer doesn't want to give his email, we get no notification of the chat and we cant 'jump online' to chat with the person! This leads us to consider third party tools like Dossier to solve our problems.
