Merging permissions

AS admin in companies with more than 50 users, we should be able to manage permissions to merge contacts since it implies "manipulating" the database by anyone who can edit contacts even if he is not aware of the impact merges could have.

I even think the lack of this feature ist a bug, because your´re currently able to merge customers although you´re not granted the permission to delete them. Since merging includes deleting one of the customers to be merged, there´s a backdoor to delete customers without being entitled to - very dangerous.

How ironic is it that this idea here needs to be merged into this idea that is said to be done by end of 2024. They have 3 weeks, will it happen? TBD

The BETA has now been activated, those enrolled should see it in their account soon as we just got ours. Great to see this actioned!

Hi all,

This has been solved in the beta I previously mentioned, we gained access to this today and straight away it worked. It is automatically set to "No" so you must enable any users you need manually. Great to see it actioned!

It's still in private beta @RodolfovR - you can request it to be added to your account or wait until it hits public beta. My guess is January/Feb it should be fully rolled out.
