Median as an option for statistics

I use a lot of average options for statistics, but in our case, they are largely skewed due to accidental situations.

It would be great to be able to choose the median time to reply, the median time to close etc instead of average - it would help us to eliminate one-time situations affecting the vision of daily results.

I'm excited to share the news that when customizing or creating a report in the Single object builder or the Custom report builder, you will now find Median as an aggregation option for any number or date field type! Median can showcase the true middle and provide a more accurate representation of data distribution, without being adversely influenced by extreme values.

Throwing in a +1 for this. Exporting everything to Excel or Sheets just to find a median instead of an average is getting tiring!

Several ticket properties like time to close are inherently non-normally so computing an average for them is not ideal and can even be misleading and having to export the data just to calculate a simple measure like the median is such a pain. I hope this can be added soon!

@IAmago yeah, "time to close" is a GREAT example of a stat that would be all over the place. And definitely requires "MEDIAN" to see it in-HubSpot in a useful way.

Same as Craig, we've always used Median so the switch over the hubspot skews our data

Very surprised that Hubspot does not already have this; so critical to help elminate outliers from analysis

Is there some way to know if this is on a roadmap for implementation? And an idea of an ETA
This is constantly coming up as a limiation of our reports and resulting in lots of manual checks.

Average is so...where do I begin. Assumption of a standard distribution for one, which I think is rare in the real business world where deals are allowed to languish in the forlorn hope that they can one day be closed, where prices can vary enormously (at least in our business), average just doesn't cut it.

So yes, please add the median! Then the outliers don't distort the data and help lead to false conclusions...

We highly support this. For us the averages are skewed due to some outlier tickets that need a long time to be resolved.
