Marketing emails to secondary email addresses

You should be able to send marketing emails to the secondary email address field.  We market primarily to couples who each have their own email address but are really one customer.  As it stands now, you can only send marketing emails like newsletters to one address so the spouse does not receive it.

Hi All, Thank you for the continued interest in this feature. It is not in our Q4 plan but we will review as a team and update this post in the coming weeks to give a clearer answer for 2024.

I think that ANYONE READING THIS THREAD should notice that it started way back in in 2018‼️ Since then not only has nothing been done about it but Hubspots updates on the topic are very few, despite the number of upvotes and comments to this request from its customers. Husbpot's latest comment was in 2023, where they said they would give more information in a few weeks, which they never did. (See below). I have been a Hubspot customer for many years now, and I must say that this just falls in line with numerous experiences of Hubspot displaying themselves as the most customer-unfriendly SaaS company I have ever dealt with, and I have dealt with quite a few. Unfortunately, once you are in, it's hard to get out, as their whole business model is based on crafting the features and plans in such a way that you conctsantly find your self needing features requiring very expensive upgrades. Furthermore, their have carefully contructed their ploicies in a such a way that they will let you add features at any tie you would like, but they will not let you remove any feature unless on your yearly contract renewal date. That's not all, BEWARE: today they confirmed in a call with me that it is their policy to show zero felxibility and understanding for customers who need to downgrade their packages, even if they know that customers cannot afford their current plan anymore.  Our current example: We just experienced that on our yearly contract renewal date, even though we had been in active written and verbal dialogue with hubspot the last 10 days before the renewal date, expressing clearly that we cannot afford to keep the current plan, they locked us in for another 12 months. During the diaolgue with them the 10 days before the renewal date, they clearly confirmed that they understood our needs and they tried to analyze what features we could get rid so that we could contune at reduced costs, resulting in two new quotes for plans that suited us better. ON the contract renewal date at 5 AM or so, they removed the quotes, and wouldn't let us accept them anymore, because we were a few hours late to do so on the contract renewal date. After a week of emailing with them about this, and todays meeting, their position is still to lock us in for another 12 months of the old plan at a cost we have been very clear that we are unable to cover. 😱😡  Let me add that our current plan costs almost 40.000 EUR per year, and still we are left with a feeling that they could not care less about us as a customer as long as they get our money. Imagine if you guys reading this comment, as business owners, had a customer telling you 10 days before renewal that they cannot afford the current plan/product, and that while your are actively taking part in figuring our a new plan for them, you go ahead and lock them into another 12 months, and just refuse to do anything about it ⁉️

Upvoting and adding that this is so important to keep our CRM clean and organized! We're now considering creating duplicate contacts on purpose, which is just a nightmare in the making.

I sure want to be kept in the loop on this issue. It would be the one reason we move away from Hubspot as it's a feature of all of the other CRMs we have used and huge pain point not to have this ability, just for the simple greedy reason Hubspot wants us to double our database size to increase the amount of contacts we email.

This is still such a problem - PLEASE plan to address it! Our company just decided to move forward with duplicate contacts against my recommendation, and I am anticipating so many issues.

Adding our voice to the chorus of users who need this functionality. We have contacts who may have personal and business relationships with us. We need a way to have contacts with multiple emails addresses, the ability to label these addresses, and the ability to choose which address to send to at any point in the HubSpot ecosystem where an email is sent.

For example we might have John Doe who owns Doe Consulting LLC. So we may have "accounting@doeconsuling.com" for him for communcaiton related to his business and "john@exmaple.com" for communication related to his personal accounts. Having to duplicate contacts to access alternate email addresses is fundamentally flawed in that it removes a key concept of seeing everything related to a contact in one place.

@JBrenna I'm getting the error, "You have reached the limit for number of private messages that you can send for now. Please try again later.", though I've never sent any messages. Can you please dm me about this topic?
