Marketing Reporting Needs LOTS of Love

I keep getting excited everytime HS launches new reporting in marketing, but then I look at them and I have to wonder if they've ever actually talked to anyone in marketing before building this stuff out. It's literally one useless report after the next. I'd love to talk to someone on your product team and help guide perspective on what is actually helpful and show where your reports fall short. A few examples:

 

1. You have custom events you can send over to facebook and google, for example we have events set up when someone becomes an opportunity. In the ads section of HS, I can see cost/opportunity, but it's an option in the ads reports. The only reason I would use ad reporting in HS is if it had more data than what Facebook has in it's native reporting, but it actually has less. It's a worse version of FB resporting. At the very least, you should be able to tie to events you already report on in your platform.

2. One step further would be to actually tie this to other events in the platform - conversion, etc. This is no where to see how many customers I received from each channel and what I paid for them. It's like the most basic marketing report that exists. 

2b. I really need to understand cost per lead, cost per booking, cost per show up, etc. Without this, there is no way to understand the funnel and how it performing. I also need this by channel
3. You have this very strang focus on campaigns, which is slightly helpful but it's so manual that it's not useable. You have none of the basics, but you keep building random features in campaigns which is something you made up.
4. Custom website events can't be used again any other reports - so I can't see how they affect the funnel
5. pivot tables don't show any sort of percentages. it's just numbers, this is helpful in sooo many scenarios
6. The math in the reporting doesn't allow you to calculate against different fields. For example, we calculate conversion rate for the sales team as number of conversions in a week vs number of meetings in a week. This cannot be done is HS. 

7. on the ads reporting, I can only look at clicks, engagements, contacts - this is helpful to probably no one. show meetings, sales, pipeline status etc. Clicks from an ad network are totally worthless
8. Please ad tiktok, reddit and bing as ad channels in HS

 

Again, I would be so happy to help advise on these projects. You have so much great data and the ability to surface it in a useful way, but it's just falling short.
