Please allow us to access marketing events within Workflows! Having the ability to set an attendee as registered after filling out a specific form, or attended after a property change would be huge!
We've an ongoing Beta that solves for this pain point. You can now automatically register contacts to manually created Marketing Events in HubSpot using a new workflow action. This allows you to register a contact, who filled a form, to a marketing event.
Please find the Beta in your Product Updates - 'Workflow action to Register a Contact to a Marketing Event'. You can find more details on the setup in this KB article
We're currently working to extend this feature for event attendance and cancellations as well - stay tuned!
I feel as if all my properties I've built in marketing events are wasting space, as I cannot use them in reports and workflows. It would be infinitely helpful.
There is a custom extension for this already, but it has quite a fee with 30 dollar a month. This should be just standard part of Hubspot without the need of an paid extension.
Seeking a similar function on the platform. We need this capability to avoid manually importing registered contacts. It would be ideal if the event form submission could automatically sync with the Marketing event registration.
100% need this functionality - it is a fairly standard feature in other tools.
If the only way to update the status of a contact in a marketing event is with an external tool or by importing a list, the utility of marketing events is very low. Using a landing page + form + list, you could get away without a separate/external event tool but you have to be able to update the registration status for contacts. I tried going the landing page + form + list route and it's all working out great, but marketing events are useless here - I'd have to export the list of contacts who filled out the form, then reimport it to the marketing event to mark folks 'registered', then do the same thing later for attendance. With automation, I could manage registration with a form, and then use a separate form for checking attendees in to mark who attended. Without automation, marketing events are glorified lists.
I agree, the marketing events are being automatically created from all of our zoom webinars but the functionality to properly use these is still limited/non-existent. It's frustrating having all of the information there but not being able to use them in workflows/reports.
This is super important, for instance assigning contacts to attended a physical event (e.g. 3rd party conference), by if they filled out a specific form during the days of the event.
I'm having to do an annoying workaround - add contact to a list when filled out form, and then create the marketing event on that record via HubSpot's API.
I do think it's a shame that Marketing Events are default HubSpot Objects, but you essentially cannot interact with them even if you are on Marketing Enterprise. There are also very few apps in the marketplace that properly integrate with Marketing Events, especially if you are hosting a "real life" event (webinars are a much more supported event type).
From what I understand Maketing event's will become a standard object at some point. There is some insight here on this Admin Hug webinar : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5R44ydPubI I've also Make.com useful for marketing event interaction, e.g. adding attendees, even from a Google Sheet.
Being in 2025, it’s pretty wild that the best option to register contacts for a marketing event is still to upload a CSV file. Our company has been using HubSpot since 2018 and I’ve been using it heavily for the past 6–8 months. The lack of simple features like this one or even the ability to export form submissions as a PDF is honestly disappointing.
Need this ASAP. Recently downloaded the Eventbrite integration so that people who register for our events within Evenbrite appear in HubSpot. But the registrations comes through as Marketing Events, so the fact that Marketing Events are not accessable through workflows means we can't DO anything with those people in HubSpot. So the integration seems meaningless.
