Manually enroll a contact into a sequence on behalf of someone
Currently, you can only be the sender of the sequence if you're manually entering a contact into a sequence. It would be nice if there was a feature where we could change the sender of the sequence to someone else. Somtimes our reps get so busy, but if it's just a follow-up sequence, someone on the admin team could do it for them using the sales rep email address as the sender. There could even be an option where the sales rep can turn this feature on their profile, so in a way you're getting their approval to send sequences on their behalf.
Stumbling upon this a year later as I'm coming across this issue as well! This would be a very helpful feature.
@indiracatmedia I think the solution outlined in your link only works for aliases; I have a Sales Hub Professional subscription, and I'm unable to select both my colleague's email and our group inbox as the "from" address.
Hi @sarahdecarlo - I see what you mean; alternatively, if you have access to automation, you could use a workflow to enrol contacts in the sequence as someone else. You can use manual enrol or create a list as trigger criteria, and the action would be to enrol in the 'x' sequence as an 'x' user (see workflow screenshot below). Remember that the users must have their email inbox connected to HubSpot with sales pro+ paid seat and have access to the sequence in question so it can be sent as them. Of course, the workflow should be more granular and dependent on how your sales teams work and the sequence's purpose, i.e. by territory, based on event trigger, conference follow-up sequence, etc. I hope this helps 🙂
Still waiting on this implementation HS. Please add this functionality as it would free up alot of our time. We have leads that our hunters want to send sequences for which would allow me to continue to call, call, call 🙂
This feature should be implemented as soon as possible. It's amazing that it isn't already present, it's very basic functionality that should be there.
