Dealing with this same issue. Hubspot please acknowledge this gap in the quote process, it has been on the board for 2+ years. Love the features and love the product, keep up the good work.
The quote status needs to be changeable manually for two reasons:
- Many organizations would accept a quote by sending a purchase order as well as other means. So it's a little narrow-minded to consider a quote accepted just with the e-signature.
- Some organizations will pay using different channels (checks, wire transfer).
QuickBooks handles this very well. Learn from them.
It would be so useful to have this function, some of my clients pay by bank transfer but if I can't update the quote to reflect this is will be left as unpaid in the system even though it has actually been paid. Also, I use Etsy and so like to create a matching invoice to Etsy orders in hubspot to keep track of orders placed there, as I can't integrate Etsy with hubspot at the moment it would be helpful if I could manually change the quote status to paid as it will have been paid on etsy instantly.
Yep - sent a quote and got a reply by email to say thanks the quote is accepted but that they would prefer an invoice as per their usual payment procedure. This is common in the UK. Unfortunately I'm not able to change the status of the quote from "Awaiting payment". Are there any plans to pick this idea up and implement the ability to update the status of quotes manually?
Definately a very basic and neccisary function even the small crm compaies have for an invoicing/quoting system. This is sales after all.. Please add asap!
Same issue. We need to be able to change a qoute status to signed so that we can track what is signed when a client sends back pdf vs electronic qoute. Otherwise, we don't have a means to control what qoutes are signed and not signed within the software when not electronically signed within hubspot.
Not all clients pay via Hubspot, we receive payment from multiple channels and would like to have the feature to customize the status of the quote manually.
Would really be a value add to be able to manually adjust the quote status after it has been expired - we have an existing quote signed but "waiting on payment". We accepted a payment directly as some organizations require an invoice. So we've been paid yet the quote reflects an incomplete status.
Would be extremely valuable component of the sales hub and honestly, seems like a fairly basis funtionality so I'm confused why it doesn't already exist - even if it's specific permissioning that requires it.
