Mandate associations based on deal/ticket/custom object pipeline stage change

More and more, we are encountered with the need to mandate associations when moving deals/tickets/custom objects along the pipeline. Mandated associations "post record creation", the same way we can mandate properties to be updated based on a pipeline stage.

 

This means, we already have the mandated associations when creating a new record and we wish that we could for example mandate the association of a ticket with a custom object and/or deal before we close the ticket.

 

This association cannot be mandated from the creation of the ticket record.

Not having this is almost enough of a dealbreaker when scaling to pivot to another CRM, this enhancement would be huge.

This is a crucial missing step to ensure reporting and customer engagement consistency. We're (trying to) use HubSpot for project management and need there to be contacts and companies reliably associated (with specific labels) when a project is won and needs to be delivered. Right now, we're reliant on humans to remember to do this, and it simply doesn't work.

Ditto to what @Adam_W said. When deals are initially created, in our industry, some of the company and contact associations may not be known at that time. But as the deal progresses, the other companies who we'd be working with start to become known. Before a deal can be marked as Closed Won or Closed Lost, we'd like to require a specific qty of company associations and/or company association labels to be added by Sales for our reporting purposes. 

Asking the sales team to do this simply doesn't work so we need settings in place in order to make them do it. Our marketing team desparately needs these associations for deal attribution as well.

Definitely helpful to get this implemented. It will reduce lots of manual checkup for us.

Really would love to have the ability to request required associations when deal moves to certain stage.

Needed for B2Bs! The ability to require association when manually creating a Deal is nice, but we auto-create Deals any chance we can, like when a lead is qualified or when demos are booked. There is no way to require company association after that point. Identifying which Deals are missing Company Associations is also excluded from List filters and Deal Tags, but not Deal Views - why??

Likewise important for us, we want to ensure our reps add line items to the deal to determine the deal value. However we want to enforce this at a later pipeline stage, not only when the deal is created (as the line items are unknown).
