Make mandatory Product Line Items on Deals an option! [Revenue Reporting Issue]
As the ARR & MRR reporting is based around these properties, which are calculated via the Line Items, it's essential for accurate reporting that it be possible to make adding them to Deals mandatory.
I've worked with a few organisations where this has been an issue now, and while creating 'Missing Line Item' tasks and reminder notification workflows for the sales reps helps, there are always going to be Deals here and there missing Line Items with the current, and so Annual & Monthly Revenue Reporting inaccurate.
If it were simply possible to enforce the addition of Line Items so as to move between stages, or move the deal to Closed Won, the problem would be solved.
As it currently stands I have a few clients with this issue, and I'm seeing between 40-60% completion of deals with associated product line items - making these key reporting properties unreliable and incomplete.
Would be great to see a fix for this!

This should be abled the same you can add mandatory properties to different stage of a deal since you might not know what you end up actually selling in the end of the sales process.
It’s shocking that one of the most fundamental parts of doing business, actually selling products and services, seems to be the least developed area in HubSpot. The rest of the platform is robust, yet line items still lack even the most basic functionality, like required fields. It’s frustrating to invest this much in the platform and still be missing such a core capability. After 4+ years for this idea alone, where is Hubspots head with this one?
Making updates to Line Items mandatory when moving a Deal through the pipeline is absolutely necessary.
Sending a Task or a Notification to the Deal Owner is not a valid solution, as these notifications can get lost in the process and/or people think they will get to it later and forget. Making it mandatory when moving the Deal through the funnel is a better idea for everyone involved and it is surprising that this has not been considered yet.
This idea has been opened for years, getting an update from the HubSpot Product or Dev team would be great.
