Logging past activities
In the past, it was possible to schedule a task for a point in time in the past. (e.g. RFQ received on January 5.) We used this as a way of logging past activities that are not captured by the "log activity" function (this applies only to phone calls, emails and meetings).
Since notes are time stamped at the point in time when they are entered, it's not useful for us to log this information in our notes, as it will not appear chronologically in the time line.
Some sort of work around here (it could even just be another option in the log activity drop-down menu which is a catch-all term) is really important for us, as we will be keeping record of sales which began months, or even years before we began using the CRM.
