I don't understand why the option to complete a task by saving a note is even prioritized. This has never been what I'm trying to do when leaving a note at the same time as using the tasks tool. I always have to go back and un-complete the task.
Completely agree, the completion of the task messes up our sequence flow by automatically moving on to the next action when most of the tasks are calls not notes...
The fact that adding a note automatically completes the task is one of the most stupid things I have come across on HubSpot - it's over a year since this issue was raised and it still hasn't been fixed. This would be like my kettle turning itself off because I leave the kitchen and it assumes I no longer want a hot drink. That's the best analogy I can come up with, sorry.
This came up today with a new client. This is creating extra work for those who actually use the task management feature. Since most people don't use it, it doesn't get reported as often. This is a big issue HubSpot, please fix asap.
Please get this fixed. In addition to the comments above, we often have multiple open tasks for a single contact and so it is very difficult to determine which task it is wanting to complete.
Our organization would greatly benefit from this fix. We are experiencing the same issues as other users, and these issues lead to extra work and ultimately costs us time and resources. Please consider implementing this as soon as possible.
