Log contact activity (marketing email sent) in deal or automate notes creation in deals
At this time it's not possible to log in deal notes and its not possible to create a note as part of an automation. I suggest that if marketing emails are sent to a contact that is associated with a deal, that that is logged on the deal record (currently to verify it has gone out I have to click on the contact itself). A workaround would be to set up automation that creates a note in the deal if and when an associated contact has been sent a marketing email - but it seems that is also not yet possible.
I agree! The purpose of attaching the contact to the deal is to capture all activity related to the deal in the activity feed of the deal, so I don't need to check the feed for the contact separately. I see emails I sent the contact directly in the activity feed for the deal but not ones sent by marketing email? This makes no sense, and I hope HubSpot will look at making a revision to support this.
