Would love to see a page where I can see who is on my site currently along with what page they are on. As well as reports by half hour so that we can see the time of day the visitors are on the site and figure out if our visitors are all employees or if we have actual people on our site. Also the refer information on how they got there. This would help with staffing chat (messages) so I know what time of day to be online. Also would help to know if we need to update SEO and know if people are hanging out but the messages posted are just not interesting enough to start a chat.
Just wanted to agree here. Most chat widgets have the following as basic functionality:
List of current visitors
Ability to prompt an individual visitor to start a chat (and customize the message)
Displaying IP addresses with each user, so that you can skip anyone who is in your office/an employee visiting the site
Ability to customize and optimize how and when the Messages box pops up
A sound that coincides with the Messages box popping up
I wonder if there is some alignment between the Prospects function and Messages - if you can see past visitors, you should be able to see who is on the site at the time and prompt them for a chat.
We have it in Zendesk (originally Zopim). It shows a list of current visitors, what page they are currently on, what pages they have viewed before in this session, IP and browser, country (based on IP) and it allows the agent to prompt them to chat, either manually or automatically.
It is working very well, and it is one of the hurdles for us to make a full switch to Hubspot service.
I don't know why there is not more of a push to have this added. Having eyes on live visitors and being able to proactively engage with them has been a great way for us to generate leads for our B2B. We've tried automating this in the past and it has not worked well at all.
