Currently, we are not able to remove users from the email "From" address in marketing emails. If that's the case, there's no way to prevent errant or disgruntled users from putting in the CEO's from name to send out a malicious email.
Understand we can limit marketing email tool, but that's if we know in advance that an employee is unhappy which isn't always the case.
Shocking to me that there is no safeguard that allows users to mark their name / email address as innaccessible to other users for Marketing emails. Just limiting permissions isn't a fix because anyone could misuse it at any time.
Please put in some sort of safety check in this process ASAP!
We are currently disrupted and limited in our business processes because we don't want to take the risk of an identity theft using HubSpot. It just takes some criminal energy or a hacker attack. The tool can be used to send real emails from our CEOs to our colleagues.
This is the biggest security concern we have with HubSpot. It is limiting the use of the HubSpot Sales and Service Hubs in our team. As YiRui_Chua says, this mean that potentially thousands op people can get a malicious mail from or CEO or other key figure.
It is really understandable that this is not fixed, it would be as simple as adding a checkbox in your 'manage emails' panel to select authorized mails for marketing, which can only be edited by the admin.
