With the freshly released new feature of the Lead Object which I know is still in Beta, it would be great if we could add/edit properties similar to the other objects like contacts, companies, deals, etc.
For example, I need to create a Lead source property so the sales reps can choose from our own lead sources rather than the default HubSpot ones.
Hi @GBurch - customizing/setting the default lead page for all users in an account isn't available yet the way it is for other objects (because Leads live in the Sales workspace as opposed to the CRM index pages). However, there is a very similar feature request for the ability to set default views account-wide for Leads here if you would like to keep track of that request! Any updates on that will be shared directly on that post. 🙂
Hi folks! I'm excited y'all are excited about custom properties on leads. We'll continue to add functionality as we bring leads up to par with the other CRM objects.
@SPerformance I'm interested in your feedback. Can you tell me more about the lead source issue? Is it still persisting with custom properties?
@Lisa-Hubcap - Seconded. Being able to view the custom properties on the lead - and overall better ability to inspect the lead object - would be incredibly useful.
@vanessahunt - You can currently rename leads, but the process is pretty unintuitive. On you Prospecting view, if you include the property "Lead Name" as one of the visible columns you can click on the name of the record you want to rename and update it. Note it needs to be specifically the "Lead Name" property, not the default first column called "Lead." I had to have a chat with support to figure this out.
+1 the ability to update the lead name would be a great feature
Currently this autocreates with the contact name so if I forget to update it on creation I end up with a lead named the person, rather than a lead record name that makes sense
We really need to be able to see Data Source, Lead Source, and answers to the form questions. It would also be helpful to see Breeze Intelligence info on the lead record (we pay for it, and it's useful to look at when evaluating leads, but I don't want to use my credits to enrich lead records automatically). As it stands, you have to navigate outside the record -- to the Company record at least -- to disqualify a lead.
