So far there is only an accessibilty setting for specific articles. Also the People have to register to get access. Would be super nice if the articles or even specific categories could get protected by a password to limit the accessibility. Would make it possibile to add some more date and information for Customers (like best practices etc.) into that one single source, without everyone seeing it.
I think what you are looking for is already available.
Since it seem that you know that you can restrict access to certain articles within the article setting by putting it to private and adding a list, you will be aware that you can use different lists for different access permissions.
I believe that this scenario is also more secure than a password protected category or article alone because of needing a registration.
Consider this. The password leaks into the internet. Everyone can use it to get access to your "protected" information.
With the registration you'd know at least who has officially access to it.
