Issues with the new beta pop-ups - so many

Hi there:

I wanted to document our problems with the new pop-ups for the community. The new pop-ups seem buggy and represent a regression in functionality. In addition, since old pop-ups are turned off, some awkward emergency conversions are being force because we have to setup new pop-ups over a whole customer rapidly ...

1) Old pop-up creation turned off

2) New pop-ups can conflict with the old pop-ups as they are not talking to each other and overlay each other. This forces us to completely re-do the pop-ups, and pop-ups can be an extensive strategy unique to page in certain client hubspots

3) The new pops-ups do not allow for the multi-step experience of the old pop-ups. Meaning you say .. .would you like, click here, then form appears. You either have the form inline, or you have a button to a landing page. The effectiveness of the pop-ups is inline form fills. We have advertising that converts on popups

4) The new pop-ups are hard to use and hard to format. We have to fiddle around a lot and sometimes call dev. The beauty of hubspot is that marketers can do stuff that looks relatively good without dev. It seems like you took a pretty good tool, pop-ups and just blew it up.

5) We still don't understand how the "AI" of pop-ups work and which ones hubspot decides to show.

6) See number 2, if you create a new pop-up and you have old popups on they can overlay each other

7) we have also created a drop down pop-up in the new way, and had a slide-in pop up overlay it. so the new pop-ups don't talk to the new pop-ups.

😎 you have made this so much harder for us as the old pop-ups were something we could use in work flows (form fill) to trigger an email send with a pdf. To do this now, we have to create a form, then create the pop-up. It is one extra step that we didn't have to do before. Because we can't use the pop-ups (e.g. filled on form on pop-up x to trigger a workflow).... this is MUCH extra work in hubspot and a big mess with a bunch of additional forms. We like to use common forms on download content, but nope.

9) And speaking of metrics? where are they? How do we understand pop-ups behavior, clicks to the pop up to download content, blah blah. There is nothing really laid out. In order to get metrics we would have to go inline with unique forms. this is a pretty big change.

10) If you have your pop-up click to a CTA to open a new page, you can click on "open in a new window" and whatever the CTA is pointing to overlays wherever the user was, causing confusion...

This has been a poor product rollout and there doesn't appear to be software product dev understanding of how pop-ups are really used by customers. I am happy to get on the phone and demonstrate a real experience.
