Issue with Company Activities Automatically Added to Associated Deals
By design, anytime you associate an activity to a company record it will also associate the activity to the 5 most recent open deals associated to the company.
Our issue is there's no way to turn this off setting. It's a hassle because these deals sometimes have no relevancy to the logged meeting.
Also, 'Last Sales Activity' is such a prominent field in Hubspot's pipelines. Now you have deals's last activity date changing because of a meeting that was intended to only be associated with the company. The sales activity is being overstated for these deals.
Chat support's response is to have the user uncheck the association to the deals. Essentially, to log an activity to only a company then you must uncheck 5 deal records.
Yep, this is annoying. When I go to an open deal, I am met with a ton of irrelevant activity history (specifically one-to-one communications) that I can't filter out or I lose the relevant stuff hidden within it.
For companies that sell multiple product lines on an account basis, we have lots of communications between contacts that have nothing to do with any particular open deal. In that case we need the option to have activity NOT auto-associate but only if we generate the original activity from the deal page, OR BETTER, we need it to have the AI smarts, that it can only auto-associate if certain words/terms are identified, that allow that activity to link to any open deals within specified deal pipelines.
Please fix this.
