Invoices according to Payment Plan

Hi Hubspot,

Please let us create Invoices based on Quotes Payment Plans!

We love the native Quoting Feature. It saves us hours of time, looks good, and helps my sales team be more focused on selling.

We are looking to have the same on the invoicing side once the Quotes are signed.

Due to our high Invoices, we always offer 50/50 split payments to help the cash flow of our clients.

We always specify that in the payment plan, but Hubspot does not allow us to convert Quotes with Split payments to Invoices.
This effectively prohibits us from using the Invoice Feature, as we either have to find a workaround (which is not an Option with Accounting) OR only offer 100% Payments, which also isn't an option.

Thank you in advance. I'm sure this is something that's on a list, and I'd love to see it sooner rather than later!

Hi there! My name is Hallie, and I'm a Program Manager on the CXM Team. I'm excited to share that an update was recently made that allows for partial payments for large invoices at checkout. Buyers can pay a portion of the invoice and complete additional checkout sessions until the full amount is settled. This should help solve for the need to make payments on larger invoices!

This is absolutely needed.

I create custom dance costumes for my clients, and at the bare minimum I need to be able to offer a deposit (to cover purchasing materials) and remaining balance option, but I often need to divide this into multiple payments via a payment plan. As my quote is based on an estimate of how many hours of labour a piece will require, the quote and the final invoice are often different.

As quotes with a payment plan can't be converted into an invoice, and invoices can't be edited once a balance has been made against it, I really don't have a way to record partial payments and updated pricing on an order.

Currently my best options are to:

- send the quote with my best estimate, take note elsewhere of the deposit payment and payments that have been made, and then create the invoice once the order has been completed, noting manually what has already been paid and what is remaining.

- create individual invoices manually for each part of the payment plan

 

Both options are going to be an absolute nightmare, as I'm duplicating time spent recording and tracking payments, as well as having to split the cost of products over multiple invoices. I am going to have to look for a different invoicing system if there is not an update to this issue soon. @hubspot

Hi Hallie, 

 

What you are outlining has been around for awhile right, meaning partial payments on an invoice. 

This request is different, it's to create the approrpiate invoices when there is a signed quote with a payment plan. Currently if there is a signed quote with payment schedule and you convert that quote to an invoice it will not create the invoice.  Please see attached screen shot.
