I've created numerous workflows to send internal user communications of certain activities on Deals and Tickets. I wanted to have these notifications sent to members of Teams, but have now learned that only those assigned to a team as their Primary team will receive the notifications. So anyone assigned to a team as their "additional team" will not receive any notifications. The workaround is to select individual user names directly in each workflow. But as a new member joins a team, I would then need to update multiple workflows to include them (or remove expired users). Being able to assign members to/from a team and have the team permanently assigned to the workflow is a more streamlined programming process.
Perhaps consider creating "notification teams" that are used specifically for these type of notification purposes, and not worry about primary/additional assignments.
I totally agree. Another option would be to allow a user to be a 'primary member' of multiple teams, meaning they get full team access, notifications etc. Currently, users are restricted to primary membership of only one team. I've created a separate issue addressing this here:
Feature request is the ability to send email notifications to child teams.
This would save so much manual entry of email addresses in workflows.
The case I have is with feedback survey follow-up automation.
Only being able to add a primary team to the email notifications is a real passion killer for me - I have 12 workflows and 6 email addresses just in this one case.
Ability to send email notifications to child teams please!
Same here. This is frustrating. Instead of a separate notifications team maanagement system I'd prefer to just see some settings for the members of a team - view team members in a list, permissions to manage team members, permissions to receive notification or not. Very similar to the Microsoft permissions model.
Ran into this problem, as well. My company is small, so there are people on multiple teams. I was trying to figure out how to send an internal email via workflow to a group email, such as operations@company.com, but I'd have to create a new user to do that (which seems silly). I have turned to trying to send via the Hubspot team and have landed here.
Hoping HubSpot add this to their updates. This feature would make life so much easier as I won't have to second guess myself if I included everyone I should. A team feature would eliminate this problem and save time.
